Open Access Policy

The scientific journal Investigación en turismo adopts an Open Access policy with the purpose of democratizing scientific knowledge and promoting free access to academic production in the field of tourism and related areas. All published articles are freely and immediately available for reading, downloading, consultation, distribution, and reuse, without economic restrictions or technological barriers for users.

The journal does not charge submission, processing, evaluation, or publication fees (APC), thus ensuring equity, inclusion, and accessibility in the dissemination of scientific knowledge at both national and international levels.

The published contents are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which allows sharing, copying, redistributing, adapting, and reusing the material in any medium or format, provided that appropriate credit is given to the authors and to the original source of publication.

Investigación en turismo promotes open access as a fundamental principle to strengthen academic exchange, scientific visibility, and the development of research focused on sustainable tourism, heritage, innovation, tourism management, and territorial development.
