Peregrinación de retorno al origen creacional del pueblo tsimane’. Por la mítica ruta espiritual de la ancestral sal de Pa'tsene

Resumen

¡La identidad de un pueblo nace de su espiritualidad! Toda su cosmovisión, punto de vista y contacto con su mundo material y creencial, está elaborado por la naturaleza que le rodea, su forma de vivir, pensar y expresarse. Así se desarrolló la cultura del pueblo tsimane’. Este trabajo investigativo observó cómo el ancestral mito tsimane’ de la sal (Jicoj) y la peregrinación que realizaban al mítico monte creacional Pa’tsene para conseguirla, influyen hasta hoy en lo cotidiano dentro el monte amazónico donde desarrollan su sistema de vida y (re)crean su espiritualidad. Los mitos son relatos que describen formas de ver la vida y su sistema de creencias antiguas y sobrenaturales. Este mito se consiguió porque tuve la fortuna de realizar esta travesía por el río Maniqui arriba hasta Pa’tsene de donde extraían tradicionalmente la venerada sal: fue cruzar el fantástico umbral de lo profano a lo mítico, donde pasado y presente se confunden en la reverencialidad y ritualidad que empeña el tsimane’ al ingresar en el maravilloso mundo mítico del monte Pa’tsene.

Abstract

The identity of a people is born from their spirituality! Their entire worldview, perspective, and contact with their material world and beliefs are shaped by the nature that surrounds them, their way of living, thinking, and expressing themselves. This is how the culture of the tsimane’ people developed. This research observed how the ancestral tsimane’ myth of salt (Jicoj) and the pilgrimage they undertook to the mythical creation mountain Pa’tsene to obtain it still influences daily life in the Amazonian forest where they develop their way of life and (re)create their spirituality. Myths are stories that describe ways of viewing life and their ancient and supernatural belief systems. I was able to obtain this myth because I was fortunate enough to make this journey up the Maniqui River to Pa’tsene, where they traditionally extracted the revered salt: it was like crossing the fantastic threshold from the profane to the mythical, where past and present merge in the reverence and rituality that the Tsimane’ engage in when entering the marvelous mythical world of the Pa’tsene mountain.
